He was awarded the 2016 MacFarlane Prize for the most outstanding research contribution at the University. He has previously worked as a Research Associate at Heriot-Watt University and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Pennsylvania State University, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics , IISc Bangalore. His research interests include photonics and condensed matter physics. In 2024, he received the Infosys Young Investigator Award.
