He was awarded the 2016 MacFarlane Prize for the most outstanding research contribution at the University. Following his doctorate, he worked as a Research Associate at Heriot-Watt University and subsequently as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Pennsylvania State University, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, IISc Bangalore, where his research interests span photonics and condensed matter physics. In 2024, he received the Infosys Young Investigator Award, and in 2026, he was awarded the Prof. Priti Shankar Teaching Award.
